The KOCKA Member of the Year is an award bestowed to the member who puts forth the most effort to drive the tailgate, make the tailgate happen, push the tailgate, tailgating, road games attended that season, and anything else that can be considered improving the tailgate.  The KOCKA Director of Tailgating Affairs takes nominations from the members and then takes what he deems the top four candidates and then the membership votes on the winner each year.
